History
The Onverwacht is a so-called ‘klipperaak’. A klipperaak has the head of a clipper and a full, round stern. The ship was built in Zwartsluis in 1908 and used as a freighter. The ship was later used as a houseboat. In the 90s, a large group of skippers from Zwartsluis bought the Onverwacht and converted it into a passenger ship. The current owners are only the third owners of the Onverwacht.
Your stay on board the Onverwacht
The Onverwacht has a GreenKey quality mark. This means the ship wants to keep its ecological footprint as small as possible, through things like sustainable improvements to the ship, environmentally friendly detergents and cleaning products, and using the wind as a propulsion force as much as possible.
The Onverwacht is ideally suited for a sailing trip with a family group, a (sports) association or a friends club. The ship includes a cosy salon, with enough seating for 20 people. The kitchen on the starboard side has enough space for the preparation of meals for larger groups.
During your stay on board, you leave your everyday worries behind and experience a relaxing time. And the staff at our office ensures you experience the planning period in the same relaxed way as your time on board!
The maximum capacity of the Onverwacht is 18 guests. With this amount of guests on board the group has just that little more space to make it comfortable.
